I feel fortunate in that I'm not the one responsible for cooking the entire Thanksgiving meal. We're going to the Merediths for Thanksgiving dinner and all I have to bring is mashed potatoes and a treat for the kids (I'm thinking Rice Krispy treats??). So today Trevin and I plan to get down and dirty in the kitchen--we are both equally messy when it comes to cooking/baking. In addition to the mashed potatoes and Rice Krispies we're also going to make Dana's Pecan Pie Cake and Broccoli Salad to take to Kelly's work party tomorrow. So what are YOU making for Thanksgiving dinner?

I'm leaving it all up to Dusty's family :) But i kinda wish that me and dusty were having our own so that i Could cook everything! I bet it'd be fun.
Pecan pie and pumpkin bars. Do you remember the year we made Thanksgiving Dinner all by ourselves? That was fun!!
My famous Apple Pie!!!! YUMMY!!! Okay, since I'm really on my diet right now McKenzie's pumpkin bars are ALL MINE!!! :) :)
Can't wait to see everyone! I am excited for Thanksgiving, but sad Heath can't be with us. But we'll get him for Christmas. And too bad MK and her family don't live near us.

Jen is reading these awesome books she was telling me about. You may have already read them, but it is worth asking her what they are. I can't remember.
Well- right now we have a 14 lb (I think) turkey in the frig. a pumpkin pie, sour cream lemon pie, and an apple pie. Not to mention a homemade cheesecake I made for Adam when he got home... so our meat and dessert is taken care of. I will be making boxed stuffing (I don't dare try to make the real stuff) some yummy "smashed" potatoes... maybe corn or green beans and always black olives and rolls... oh and our turkey will be fried. AND the best part... it is just the four of us!!! :) It won't be stressful because only the potatoes are from scratch but we will definitely be eating Thanksgiving dinner for days!!!
We're making the turkey, dressin', gravey, mashed potatoes, and 3 pies...then several friends and a few family members are comin' and bringing lots of other nummalicious food!

Almost everything...I got all the big stuff plus countless treats, appetizers, and desserts. Guess that happens when it's at your own home...but I love it!!! Hope your cake was yummers! Thanks again for my supplies. :)

After years of hosting Thanksgiving, I finally got it right and only have to fix stuffing, a veggie tray, and pies. Nate's doing a turkey on the grill, so all I had to do for that is buy the bird!
