Missing Kyler...and this week's happenings

Well, the week is almost over. We've all missed Kyler and can't wait til he gets home (late) tonight. Trevin was bawling one night after he'd gone to bed because he missed Kyler. Yesterday on the way home from Day camp, Kierstyn said, "Mom, I miss Kyler." I guess absence really does make the heart grow fonder. :) I can't wait to hear all about his week away.

Kierstyn and Trevin have both enjoyed their camp and have slept really well each night. :) Kierstyn wants to go back for another week later in the summer but Trevin decided he'd rather stay home and "play the Wii."** Silly boy.

With all the kids gone, I've been able to tackle a few projects of my own. I went to a Family History class on Monday. This is at least my fourth attempt at Family History (in 20 years) and I am determined to figure it all out this time. :) I've been busy entering information on the computer and organizing my files. I've also been working hard on Girls Camp stuff. I am the Stake Certification specialist this year....and I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm just hoping that half of what I've planned works out. I'm chalking this year up to a "learning experience."

Wednesday I made a quick trip to M'boro for the funeral (well, actually I just went to the visitation) of a dear friend and next door neighbor's mother who passed away after a 3 year battle with cancer. It was fun to see some people that I haven't seen in over 15 years. And I had dinner with just my mom and brother--can't remember the last time we've done that. On the way home Thursday morning I had to drive through Bonaroo traffic. All I can say is....that better be one heck of a concert to sit in traffic that long! It was seriously insane.

Next week we're going unplugged--no computer, tv, iPods, or video games. Hopefully we'll find some fun things to do and mark a few more things off our Summer To-Do List. I'm thinking "go get donuts" and "go to the cupcake store" sound like a good place to start.

**YES! When I picked up Trevin this afternoon, he had changed his mind and now he wants to go another week, too. :)

And this is why I like blogging...so I can keep up with what you're doing! Hope Kyler made it back and had a great time, I'm sure everyone was glad to see him!!
