random happenings of the week

Trevin can now make his own fried eggs. On Tuesday morning he just asked out of the blue if he could make his own eggs. Not being one to deter such a request, I promptly said, "Sure!" He made a perfect fried egg on Tuesday, then again on Wednesday, and yes, again this morning. He has even perfected the fried egg omelet which is no easy feat. I'm wondering how long it will take before the novelty wears off; for now I will enjoy his self-sufficiency.

Kierstyn came home from school on Monday psyched for the Pep Rally at school today. In true Kierstyn form--"THINK BIG!"--she has been planning her outfit, shoes, facial decals, fingernail polish, etc. for 3 days straight. Yesterday after school she fashioned a back strap to her white flip flops so they would meet school code (no flip flops unless they have a back strap) and made a school logo to stick on top. She woke up bright and early (and on her own) this morning and hopped in the shower without even being asked. I sure hope this Pep Rally is all that she's been dreaming of.

Kyler won big this week! Tuesday night before I headed to bed I checked my Facebook and saw that Kyler had won a $75 shopping spree at Academy Sports. He entered a Facebook contest from the orthodontist and was randomly chosen as the winner. I can't think of a better prize for him. He was SUPER excited!

Trevin reminds me of Kelly (except my memory of Kelly he was much older). I remember Kelly always making eggs- especially omelets. Once with ramen noodles in it.

I assume you got a picture of Kierstyn. I love her school spirit and creativeness.

That is so cool for Kyler and yes very appropriate for him.
