A Funny Story

Last Sunday I was sitting in Relief Society (meeting for women) enjoying a lesson about Faith.  Sister H. was teaching the lesson. She talked about several examples of people in the scriptures who had faith (Noah, Moses, Daniel, the apostles, etc.).  She then told us that as she was preparing for her lesson she had asked her grandson about all of these stories and was so impressed that he knew almost all of them.  "Kids are so smart," she said.  Which reminded her of something funny that one of the kids at school had said earlier that week.  She was substituting in a 4th grade class and they were studying Idaho history.  The state bird of Idaho is the mountain bluebird.  One of the students remarked that it was so interesting that the female mountain bluebird is just plain brown but the male bird is the one with all the pretty colors.  "Yes," Mrs. H. agreed, "just like the peacock.  The male peacock is the one with all the beautifully colored feathers but the female peacock is just plain."  Mrs. H. then went on to say (a bit sarcastically), "That's not like people though.  With people, girls are always prettier than boys."

{This is the funny part}......
Just then a little boy propped his elbows up on his desk and put his chin in his hands.  He looked at Mrs. H. with a big grin and said, (most likely while batting his long eyelashes), "Yeah, but have you ever seen anything cuter?"

Guess who that cute little boy was?  My TREVIN! :0
