Kelly turns the BIG 4-Oh!

We surprised Kelly with a surprise birthday weekend in Utah for his 40th birthday. Kierstyn helped me make up some cheesy poems that were Kelly's "clues" as to what we were doing. Van decorations were a must!
We left at 7:30am on Friday morning. Our first stop was Mount Timpanogos Caves. It was a 1 1/2 mile STEEP hike up to the cave followed by a guided tour.
We made it to the top!

After hiking back down the mountain Kelly opened another poem that told him we were headed to Manti for the Mormon Miracle Pageant
After the pageant we drove back to Provo to spend the night. We slept in on Saturday and then met Jared Ward for lunch at The Brick Oven. Hate that I didn't take a picture! :(
As luck would have it, our good friend and former missionary (from our Americus, GA, days) was in UT for a family reunion so we met up with him in Heber for the afternoon. It was fun getting to meet his wife and kids.
Kelly wanted to stay in Park City on Saturday night so we headed to the hotel and these 2 enjoyed the pool.
On Sunday Kelly and I went for a long walk and then took the kids to Olympic park to watch a ski jump show. Afterwards Trevin did a ropes course and Kyler & Kierstyn rode a zip line.
What a super fun weekend!
