After 2 unsuccessful shopping trips with kids in tow (Trevin, specifically) earlier this week, by Friday morning I was in desperate need of a baby gift.....I was meeting friends for lunch and needed the gift by then. I had planned a last-resort trip to the mall (I HATE going to the mall!) after I dropped off T at school but it was a gray, rainy day and I just couldn't bring myself to drive over to the mall....I wondered if I had enough time to whip up a baby blanket (3 hours til lunch date) and decided to go for it. This was the result: isn't that the cutest cow print ever? I love it!

I was happy with the result. No, it's not perfect--so don't look too close but I think it's cute (and I hope she did, too!). I am certainly no perfectionist when it comes to sewing. Well, I'm really not a perfectionist when it comes to anything, come to think of it. I finished sewing it in 1 1/2 hrs. and then had to tie it....it's amazing how fast I can work in "procrastination-mode". :) ....oh, and lunch was yummy, too!
