Trev's preschool class had a field trip to Tate Farms today and I got to come along for the fun.
I just love this pumpkin house!
We went on a hayride out to the pumpkin patch to pick out our very own pumpkins!
The kids got to pick cotton and they learned about how cotton is grown and harvested and even saw how a cotton gin works.(I had to include this picture because that's Trevin's "girlfriend" next to him....or at least she was his girlfriend last week....he was going to "break up" with her but I don't know if that has taken place yet. The actual relationship status of these two preschoolers is unknown at the time of this posting.)Sunflowers!! We saw lots of animals. Bunny rabbits
and pigs. (We also saw puppies and goats.)
One of the highlights of the day (and one of the things Trev remembered from last year) was playing in the corn crib. The kids like to jump and crawl and slide through the kernels....today they all decided to make "corn angels"
They had a cool new addition this year: a barn and hayloft that the kids could jump off of. Here is Trevin's friend "L" trying to convince Trevin to give it a try.

We LOVE Tate Farms!!! It is an annual tradition. It has also been the fave field trips for both my girls. Looks like T had just as much fun! I love the corn angels! I always want to jump in with them.
You know, I went with K's Kindergaren class to Tate Farms the day I went into labor with little man. There I was, on the hay ride and lifting pumpkins, and people would ask: So when are you due? And I would say: Tonight.
The looks I got were priceless.
Ahhh...good memories. Thanks for the trigger. :)
Awesome! Do animals always "pose" for you?? Amazing how those rabbits are all lined up. Now if you could get the grand-kids to do that. . . and that cute pink pig. . . too fun!!
Looks like a lot of fun! I am going with Katlyn's class later this month. I can't wait! I think we are going to go as a family also...
Tate Farms is so fun! We've gone since Carden was one and I was a few days away from having Emma (not as close as Dana!). I love that pumpkin house, too. Great shot, I've never thought to take one from that angle.
Fun! We hope to go next week!
The trip looks like it was a success! Ranoah will be going with her Kindergarten class. SHe is so excited because we went last year with Joyschool.
