DeSoto State Park

On our last day, we went to DeSoto State Park. We need to come back here when we have more time to explore. There were lots and lots of trails to walk, more rocks to climb, another (unimpressive) water fall, and not enough time to do it all.

Family picture....(that's Kierstyn's baby, Megen, who was pushed in the new stroller on the trail)
Kierstyn and MegenMore rock climbing.....Have I ever mentioned how Kierstyn is our monkey? She is (and always has been) a great climber. Look how high up she is!!! "That's so awesome!"--KierstynComing back down was a little trickier.Boys can climb too!Trev and Daddy at the top Everybody needs a good walking stick...

Here are the unimpressive falls. Not much to see but I'm sure it's beautiful when we've had rain.
...and thus ends our journey. It was the stuff memories are made of!

How fun!! I was just talking about your little family to all my friends, trying to give encouragement. We all have young families and look forward to the day that we can go on fun family vacations with no babies or needy toddlers. Thanks for showing us the light at the end of the tunnel.

Looks like fun! My hubby and I went on our honeymoon there and had fun looking at all the pretty scenery...I seem to remember seeing better falls though...ahhh oh well. We haven't been there in almost 10 years, so what would I remember :)

How many cabins/lodges do they have? We need to take EVERYBODY some day ~ I don't think Disney will happen :>)
