Can you even believe all this STUFF?! Kierstyn is my messiest child by a looooooooong shot and I am constantly telling her to clean her room! (This truly is a major struggle for me.) Well yesterday I had finally had it! So I took everything out of her room and dumped it into the hallway. I took the sheets off her bed so that she would REALLY have to make her bed. (I told her that every morning that she doesn't make her bed I'm going to take ALL the sheets off and then she'll have an even bigger job of it!) When she got home from school I explained that I only wanted her to put back in her room the things she really wanted and thought she could take care of. She filled a couple Walmart bags with garbage and managed to collect a laundry-basket-worth of stuff for an eventual yard sale.
This is when I emptied out her room:

WOW!! The finished product looked great! Cute room!
GREAT idea!!! I am always amazed at how messy my girls' room gets, and it DRIVES ME CRAZY!
How WONDERFUL!! I can't wait for the girls to make that decision. I tried getting them to do that this morning and they didn't quite get it. How fun to have a clean room all ready for Christmas. Let me know if there are any melt downs of the toys that are gone. :) That's what I worry about.
My girls are the messiest and they make me want to bulldoze their room after they have played in there! It doesn't help that they are now stuffing their clothing in every nook and cranny when I tell them to straighten their rooms :) Then we spend FOREVER cleaning and me showing them EXACTLY where things should go and how things should look! :)The finished product looks GREAT!
You make me laugh!!! Hope she can keep it up :) :) Good luck to the both of you.
she sounds like she should belong to me and my Caroline should belong to you!!
Want to come and work your magic with my B? I would hire you...
I love it!! See, why can't I practice a little patience and give them a chance. It all would have gone in the garbage at my house. It looks great! I need to have my kids go through their rooms this week to get ready for Christmas.
