Random Stuff

This weekend was Webkinz Extravaganza! My friend and I met at Hallmark at 11:00 on Friday with our children's ranked lists in hand. (We wanted to be sure that we were one of the 1st 500 customers....if you spent $10 then you got a free Webkinz.) I was able to get Kyler's first choice--a Tiger named "Rocky" and Kierstyn's first choice--a Kangaroo named "Kanga". I took Trevin back to the store at 1:00 after I picked him up from preschool. He spent some of his birthday money on a Webkinz basketball outfit and got a free Leopard named "Boxer". They've been inseparable all weekend, even sleeping together.

Last Monday I finally got busy outside. I had been debating on whether or not to do a garden this year since we will be moving (although I don't know when) but I finally decided to go ahead. I bought 6 tomato plants and we also planted green beans.

I bought some flowers, too, to (hopefully) "beautify" our house for a potential buyer. These are the hanging baskets on our front porch:and these are the Impatients I planted in front of the houseThen I bought a couple of Dahlias and something else (the one in the middle.....but I can't remember what it is right now) for the planter box we have on our shed out back.

Our Yard Sale was pretty good yesterday. It kept trying to rain on us but we persevered (it never rained very hard) and made $100. Not bad for a bunch of junk. Our Open House today was a total flop. I don't even want to talk about it.....

Tonight Kierstyn came to me and asked me to read her a story before bed. Kelly overheard her and asked if he could read to her instead. They curled up on our bed and I could hear little snippets of the story as they took turns reading. After awhile I sent Trevin in to tell Kierstyn it was time to go to bed. Even later, after it had been quiet awhile I went in to check on her and this is what I found:

I have no clue what a webkinz is! But it is always fun to get new toys... if it is even a toy, I don't know. Love the garden and flowers I wish I had a green thumb but no such luck. And Kierstyn and Kelly melted my heart.
