We've had a good week getting settled in.....only a few more boxes to unpack. It's been hot so we've stayed inside during the day but we have been outside in the evening meeting neighbors and making new friends. This is an amazing place to live. I can't even believe how great it is. Everyone is soooooooo friendly. The neighborhood is like its own little small town. Seriously, we have probably met at least 20 people. The kids have already made a couple of friends, too. I will be glad when I get some rocking chairs for my front porch so I can look at the pond and the mountains while my kids ride their bikes up and down the street.
Today we headed downtown for some family fun. First we went to Coolidge Park so the kids could ride the carousel, then across the river for cardboard box sliding down the hill (Kierstyn has been begging to do this all week!), then back over to Coolidge Park where Kierstyn was the only one who wanted to run through the water (the boys were tired and ready to go home). Fun, fun!
We cleaned out the refrigerator and ate up all our yummy leftovers for dinner. The kids all helped me make a fancy dessert!
