Well we've been busy...working on a few projects and starting back to work. The kids have been up in M'boro for the week thoroughly enjoying their last week of summer vacation with grandma, Mama Mary, Grand-daddy and all their cousins. (Many, many thanks to you ALL!!!! Seriously, I owe you big time.) The kids didn't want to come home with us last night.
We have painted 2 rooms: the bathroom and the computer room. I even let the kids help me some. Here's the bathroom. Can you see how happy it made them to help?!

When we went up to M'boro to pick up the kids we brought home some furniture to fill up our empty house. This is in the computer room where we painted. Here is Kelly's favorite piece (it was his Grandmother's):

While the kids were gone last week I also tackled the huge window in our kitchen. I really want to get plantation shutters for this window but they are WAY EXPENSIVE so I decided to make a cafe curtain in the meantime. I just used material I already had (and I had already made a table runner with the same material). I think it looks ok; Kelly is tolerating it. :)
And this has nothing to do with house projects but I just have to show off my new cute shoes:

Yes those shoes are cute. -- I thought that was the piece that was being fought over. -- Now I am curious to see what took the place of the blue... thing... at mom's. -- If I were there we would have more fights on our hands over furniture. Thank goodness I am so far away! :)
Love the new furniture (can't decide which is my favorite, how about both), love your cafe curtain and love your new shoes!
