This Week's Happenings

Enjoying chocolate popsicles on the front porch after Family Home Evening on Monday night.

On Wednesday, Kierstyn lost another tooth--at school. She got to go to the office for a "tooth necklace." She put her lost tooth in it and wore it home around her neck. (The tooth fairy must have been busy that night because she never made it to our house. Luckily, she came the next night.)
Kyler got ALL THESE AWARDS at Cub Scout Pack Meeting.....he earned them all at Day Camp earlier this summer.
Ok, here's my TIP OF THE YEAR! You know how we sometimes think we have to spend a lot of money on fancy toys to keep our kids entertained? Well check out this inexpensive "toy!" A bag of concrete nails. I kid you not. I just happened to have a few of these nails lying around the other day as I was working on completing my FHE board and Trev picked them up and started to make "patterns" with them. He's made a robot, a bat, a person, a sunset, and countless other designs. I'd like to think that it's even somewhat educational. :) I am not even exaggerating when I say that this "toy" has provided HOURS of entertainment for him. Go figure!

So my dad is the cub scout guy in charge of getting all the awards for pac meeting and the other day he came home with like 200 of those little belt loops and was in some sort of mild rage over how they cost like a buck a piece and how someone's banking it off the cub scout program. I was laughing pretty hard! Congrats to Kyler!

I need some tips from Kyler- Adam and I are the Cubmasters and I am so nervous. I have no clue about scouts and at this point this is my only chance to learn anything about it.
