It's hardly what you'd call Fall here but at least our mornings have been cool (requiring a jacket or sweater that most definitely needs to be peeled off by early afternoon). That crispness makes me hungry for Fall Food! Mostly soups in the crockpot, as well as pumpkin and apple ANYTHING. Today I have Dana's version of Taco Soup, Sante Fe Soup simmering in the crockpot while I dream of apple-something for dessert. I have seen several recipes lately for apple butter and apple sauce and apple.....you get the idea. If you have the same hankerin' I do then check these out for applesauce, apple puff (dessert), or apple butter recipes. And then there's that yummy Caramel Apple Pie that I always make for Thanksgiving. Now if only I had some apples.....
And don't even get me started on pumpkin....pumpkin bread (with homemade cream cheese frosting, of course)--best eaten at my mil's house, pumpkin logs, pumpkin muffins, etc. Oh, and I can't forget Dana's to-die-for Pecan Pie Cake. I think I'm getting a rumbly in my tummy.
What are your favorite Fall Foods?

YUMM i love fall foods too. You knwo what I love, Simply Apple juice. random but it tastes so.. Fall-ish :) The other day i went to brusters and got PUMPKIN ice cream!! It was delicious! My mom makes ApfelKuchen in the fall (apple cake in german) Its more like a crumby apple tart.. OH baby those are good!!
I went to the links for the recipes on my blog...good grief...is it even possible for me to post a simple recipe without writing a flippin article?! I write like I talk, I know this...but going back and reading myself was kinda like therapy. I need to tone down the words, huh? Kinda like NOW? See? I'm doing it again! Ugh.
But I have to say:
Pumpkin Ice Cream?!?!
YUM! I have to go get some.
You are killing us gluten/dairy free folks! Poor Adam wants a pumpkin pie but it has dairy so until I can make one for Hailey he can't have one. But yes: soups and pumpkin, and my candles I could just light those and feel satisfied! YUM
Ooo, I love apple butter. For fall foods, I love starting up the soups again. Soup and crusty bread, ah, heaven.
Tell Kierstyn that she is the woman! Awesome climb girl!
Yummm I'm with you! Pumpkin anything. Now I'm going to light my pumpkin spice candle!
Landon talks about your pumpkin bread all the time. He has never forgotten it from Kyler's baptism.
We love Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies here!!! yummy! Also, pumkin cheesecake, and soup cooked in a pumkin... and most anything apple! I love fresh apples. I'd sort of forgotten how much till workign on the apple orchard last week with Sariah up in NY.
