FINALLY......some pictures!

For those of you who come to my blog to see pictures of my kids (MM), I apologize for the lack of pictures I have posted this month. Life is busy. It's a good busy, but it's busy nonetheless. If it hadn't been for the Gratitude Challenge I made, I'm not sure I would have had any posts at all!

Friday was Kierstyn's Superbowl at school. But first, a little explanation is necessary......at our school each Friday afternoon is "Academies." Academies are fun classes that the kids get to choose and participate in as a reward for finishing their work (if they don't finish, they go to Study Hall). Each teacher teaches (or team-teaches) an Academy. At the beginning of the year we had a school-wide assembly and each of the teachers stood up and talked (or showed) about their Academy so the kids would know what each one was about. Some of the choices were: Painting, Sign Language, High School Musical, Cheerleading, Mousercize, Frisbee Golf, Cool Snacks, etc. After the assembly the kids each ranked their top 5 choices for the Academy they wanted to go to and then our Principal had the honor of sorting through all those forms and assigning every child to an Academy.

Trevin chose Cool Snacks. And Kierstyn? I know you might think she chose HSM or Cheerleading or even Painting, right? But you would be wrong. Kierstyn's number one choice was......FLAG FOOTBALL!!! And she ended up getting her first choice. Yes, she was the only girl and no, I don't think she minded one bit. :) So Friday was the Superbowl and Kelly went to watch. Kierstyn even scored a touchdown!!!!! Her team (the Packers) won in OT! Go Packers!!!
