Granola

Jen’s Granola

Combine in saucepan and heat til sugar is dissolved:
¾ cup brown sugar
1/3 cup oil
1/3 cup honey

Mix together in large pan:
5 cups old-fashioned oats
½ cup powdered milk
¾ tsp cinnamon
pinch of salt

Pour dissolved sugar mixture over dry ingredients and stir well. Bake at 325* for 30 min., stirring every 10 min. Let cool in pan (stirring occasionally helps it from getting too clumpy). Store in airtight container.
*** Can add nuts, wheat germ, coconut, raisins, dates, etc. (add raisins AFTER cooking)

Our favorite way to eat this is to put it on top of Corn Flakes and add bananas and milk. It's also great all by itself!

I'm going to have to try it - especially after Meghan's comment.

I guess I have to go buy some powdered milk. I have some chocolate chips that are dying to drop into some granola.

My neighbor had some powdered milk that she wasn't going to use. I have all the ingredients out and when I get home from picking Hailey up from school I am making this-- I am so excited!!
