Finally.....pictures of the kitchen

This is LOOOOOOONG overdue. I just haven't gotten around to taking pictures of the kitchen that I painted back in May. I wasn't sure about the color at first but it has grown on me. It's not that I'm afraid of color; it was just more "yellow" than I had originally intended. These are the new plantation shutters that we got for the big window. The afternoon sun comes in blazing hot right around dinner time so these have helped A LOT. Now I need to figure out what to do with that door.In the process of painting the kitchen I decided to revamp the wall where we keep the kids' papers. I made a new cork board and covered it with cute fabric. The other end of the kitchen. Someday I will figure out what to put on top of my cabinets and hopefully have some cool countertops. Maybe even an island...
We (and by we, I really mean Kelly) are now in the process of building built-in bookshelves for the boys' room.....the boys' room which we painted back in March. Pictures to come when it's all done.

Cute, cute, cute! The color is so pretty! I love the cork board and magnetic chore charts - great idea! Is the back door wooden or metal? We have magnetic rods on our back door with sheers - cuts down on the "heat" coming through but still allows a lot of light in.

BTW - it was great seeing you all!

Love it!! Will you come to my house now and help me? I can't paint anything but I need a re-do of decor and ideas for charts and such.
