We're baaaaaaaack! and we had such a fun time. We went to Lake Lanier Islands Resort outside of Atlanta. I may never go to the beach again. We had everything we needed/wanted and it was only a 2 1/2 hour drive away. The hotel was fancy swanky--really nice. We were staying at "The Lodge" so we didn't quite know what kind of accomodations to expect but we weren't disappointed. 
We never even left the resort for 3 days.
2 days at the waterpark, 
eating at Bullfrogs Cafe, 
and swimming at the pool.
Next time we'll have to rent bicycles to ride all around the resort and maybe even go for a horseback ride.
I have to say that my kids are at the perfect age for doing things like this. They were all old enough (tall enough) to go on all the water slides (Trevin wasn't tall enough for just 1). And let me tell you....they LOVED the water slides! They ALL went on this give-your-mother-a-heart-attack-straight-down body flume ride. I wish I had a picture of it. I was about to die just watching them! They did only go down that one once though--thank goodness--I don't know if my heart could have taken another time. They loved the wave pool too (see, no nasty ocean water, but we had waves!).
Exactly my idea of a vacation!

That looks like a great vacation to me. I'll have to look that up. Perfect for my kids. I bet your loved it. And i saw T do that give mom a heart attack slide before. We should not be able to watch such craziness. Ha ha

Oh Jen!!! I love that place!!! I've got family that lives in Buford, GA. Lake Lanier is right around the corner. I haven't been there in years! Not since I was a teen! I've told Meghan about it! Those water slides are awesome! The two big ones are really cool...I'm trying to remember what they are called. Anyway! Glad you had a great time! That's an awesome place!

Sounds like so much fun! I've heard of that place! fun times. It is so fun when you don't need to stop for naps and you can eat while you go! These are the days!
Glad no one got hurt on the crazy water slide...I did one like that once..never again!
