Exhibit Night Pictures

It's that time again.....Exhibit Night!

1st graders have been learning all about the human body. It has been so fun to hear Trevin tell us about the respiratory system, the digestive system, etc. (those big words are just cute coming out of a 6-year-old's mouth).

Trevin was a docent for the 1st grade exhibit and he was "Dr. Meredith" for the evening. He handled all sorts of gross and disgusting animal innards (liver, kidneys, lungs, trachea, and heart) and explained what they were to passersby.

Here he is with his "Unique" picture. His says "I am unique because my mom works at this school. I get to see her sometimes."3rd graders have been studying American government and economics. Their exhibit was set up like the game of Life (think board game). We started out with the 3 branches of government, learned about symbols, identified consumers vs. producers, and learned about various careers.
This is what Kierstyn said she wanted to be when she grows up:
Here she is posing with her Pop Art painting she made in art class. (Those are microphones.)
After Kierstyn's choir concert we headed over to the Upper School to see Kyler's exhibit. He has been studying ancient cultures (Social Studies), ancient number systems (Math), and biomes (Science). I asked Kyler to tell me about this piece of art he made and this is what he said: "This is a statue people would put in a temple-like place so they could pray at the temple while they were working during the day(from ancient Sumer)."And here is his exhibit for German class.....his own cartoon.
