Let me preface this post by saying that I HATE to shop. That's what makes this story so much more exciting to me!
I have been obsessing over outfits for our family pictures next week for at least a month. It's not easy coordinating 5 people! I've almost got it together but today I set out in search of a denim skirt for myself. I walked into Marshalls and there on the rack was a denim skirt in my size. And hanging next to it was a cute brown skirt (that may work for the picture also/instead). I grabbed them both and headed to the dressing room. The only thing I hate worse than shopping is trying on clothes. I didn't have high hopes that either would fit/look right because that's just the way it usually goes for me. BUT wonder of all wonders.......they both fit and were cute so I promptly went to the checkout and bought them BOTH!
The other item(s) I was looking for today were some curtains and magnetic rods to put over the doors in our bedroom. The ghetto blanket hanging from the door just wasn't cutting it anymore. :) So, I walked next door to Ross and found 4 dark brown linen panels (2 for the door; 2 for the windows in our room) that were on sale for $9.99 each!!! They were from Linens 'n Things regularly priced $29.99. That would be a savings of $80, thank you very much. Woo Hoo! I walked next door to Bed, Bath, and Beyond, found the magnetic rods (and used my 20% off coupon, of course) and I WAS DONE!
Now if only every shopping trip could be so successful!

amen to wishing shopping could ALWAYS be that easy and successful....i hate shopping and worse yet is trying on clothes (I'm right there with ya, girl!)
