Enjoying summer

We've been enjoying these hot days of summer, mostly at the pool. I realized today that I am at a GOOD place.....all my kids can swim and entertain themselves at the pool. They make new friends every day and jump off the diving board endlessly. Trevin learned how to dive last weekend at the river and now he is a pro on the diving board as well. I don't really even have to look up to check on them (although I do occasionally). I can read my book and sit in the sun and really relax. Oh, how I'll miss these days all too soon.

We had some friends over last night for some fishing, blueberry cobbler, and visiting. I witnessed firsthand yet again that Kierstyn is such an amazing babysitter. Seriously, she is really, really good.


2 more weeks til school starts. I'm not sure any of us are ready. We have bought a few school supplies and now it's time to check the kids' closets to see what else they need. All too soon we're going to be forced to get up and get going much, much earlier than we have been. :( I wish it could be summer all year long!
