Kierstyn has been talking about going ice skating for her birthday for 4 months (maybe longer!) so this day couldn't get here fast enough. She is such a great skater!
Kierstyn with her favorite ice skating buddy, Buck (who wisely gave her a pass for 10 more visits to the ice skating rink). "He even knows how to skate backwards!"
Kyler wasn't going to skate at all until his cousin L convinced him to give it a try. He started out on the wall but it didn't take too long before he was going full throttle, too.
There's cousin L who got Kyler to skate! He was great, too!
It took cousin M awhile to get warmed up. I had to hold under her arms, then we went for the one hand holding approach...
and before we knew it, she was off! (That's Kierstyn behind her.)
Even Grandma came to skate! (That's me and my mom--yeah, we had as much fun as the kids...although we didn't last quite as long out on the ice!)
Trev put the skates on and went about 5 feet down the side of the rink before giving up. He entertained the twins instead.
