On Saturday we stopped to see my best friend from High School, Chris, and her family who live near Charlottesville, VA. We got to see her beautiful house, her beautiful family and spend about 4 hours just catching up on each others' lives.Chris' house is literally like 5 miles from Monticello (home of Thomas Jefferson). This is a vineyard and church on the windy road to Monticello. And now for the color. We were hoping that we would get to see the leaves changing on our drive and we weren't disappointed. We drove along the Blue Ridge Parkway for about 50 miles and got to see some beautiful sights. This is looking down into the valley.a Christmas tree farmVirginia is absolutely beautiful. I definitely wouldn't mind living there. Kelly and I had a fun time together. He didn't even turn the radio on the whole day on Sunday (about 6 hours driving time)--yes, sweetie, I noticed, and THANK YOU!

I just looked all your posts from your weekend get-away...how fabulous for the two of you! I am totally jealous.
I was just talking with someone the other day about how much I loved the drive to the DC temple. How you're just driving along and then out of the blue is this beautiful piece of heaven.
Beautiful! I love that last shot of the road and trees. I would love a trip back east! Sounds and looks like you had a fab time!!
