...and now for the race details

We got downtown about 6:30. Kelly's race started at 7. The kids and I watched him start

and then they played tag and ran in a sprinkler for awhile until we started looking for Kelly to make it back to the finish line. My camera has a nasty little habit of getting stuck in timer mode (I always seem to push it unawares) and so I didn't get a picture of Kelly running down the finish lane. Here he is all sweaty after the race though. :)
McKenzie and Zack arrived with the babies and Logan around 8:45. Our race started at 9. We both ran really good. I definitely started off way too fast which made for a not-as-fun-as-I'd-hoped run but it was still good. McKenzie and I ran together until the last turn when she finally listened to me and took off ahead of me. Here we are coming in to the finish. The kids' race started at 10. (Yes, it was a long morning for some of us!) They all did great. It was so much fun to cheer them on when they came down the home stretch!

I think their favorite part was the free drinks, pizza, and ice cream after the race. (And I have to admit I kind of like the t-shirts!)
