How Much Food Storage Does $200 Buy?

Or more accurately....How much food storage does $193.71 buy?
Being the self-proclaimed Food Storage Geek that I am, I challenged myself to a Pantry Stocking trip to the store to see how much I could get for $200. And the results.......

Back in my more frugal days, I did all my shopping at 2 stores: Save-a-Lot and Walmart. When we lived in Florida, I would drive 40 min. to the nearest S-a-L and Walmart once a month and I bought groceries for an entire month!!! I also took the time to comparison shop and even made myself a notebook with the prices of the most common grocery items at each store. That's how I would know where to buy applesauce vs. where to buy green beans. These days I still do all my grocery shopping at Walmart but I haven't been to a S-a-L in years! So today I decided to check out one that I discovered close to my house. I even brought a notebook along so I could compare prices....'cause you know I had to go to Walmart afterwards! Just so you know, almost everything is cheaper at S-a-L. Of course you can't get (many) brand names but I typically buy the generic brand at Walmart anyways so it didn't bother me to buy no-name beans and canned veggies at S-a-L. I mean, beans are beans, right? So this is what I got:

At Save-A-Lot....for $84.99
12 cans black beans
12 cans chicken and rice soup
4 cans cream of celery soup
18 cans corn
18 cans green beans
24 cans kidney beans
12 cans no-sugar-added pears
4 jars spaghetti sauce
4 pkg. muffin mix
2 pkg. chocolate chips
3 pkg. orange jello (for H-ween Jello Jigglers, of course!)
2 pkg. vanilla pudding
1 lg. can pumpkin
1 box Bran Flakes cereal
1 grape jelly
1 jar gherkins pickles
1 can oatmeal
1 pancake syrup
1 box vanilla wafers

At Walmart...for $108.72
10 cans diced tomatoes
6 cans spaghetti-o's
2 cans pinto beans (b/c I've got lots of dried pinto beans that I plan to cook up and freeze in small portions)
8 cans peaches
5 cans pineapple chunks
2 lg. applesauce
3 lg. peanut butter
8 cans mandarin oranges
6 cans cream of chicken soup
5 lg. cans canned chicken
10 lg. cans tuna
8 gallon water jugs
2 boxes baking soda
and for our 72-hr. kit update:
8 tuna kits
2 chicken salad kits
1 box granola bars
16 indiv. size fruit cups
So I think we're set for awhile. I have the ingredients for 3 or 4 different soups that we like + ingredients for chili + tuna, chicken salad, and peanut butter. I even managed to get it all into our Food Storage Closet in a somewhat orderly manner.
