Christmas Ramblings

My Christmas cards are here. Now I just have to address all those envelopes. And make a trip to the post office for stamps. I can't wait for Christmas cards to start arriving in my mailbox. The first one came today. :)

The other night our Christmas tree fell crashing to the floor. I knew when I put it up this year that the base was a bit tipsy. Only one ornament was smashed to smitherines. Where do you buy a stand for an artificial Christmas tree? All I can find are stands for live trees.

My Christmas shopping is almost done. I've never been finished this early. If only I can control my impulse buying and the nagging feeling of "What else do they need/want?"....

Kyler and Trevin are going to be in the Holiday Starlight Parade on Saturday night. It's going to be FREEZING!!! Time to pull out the long underwear. I'm sure they'll both be so cute and adorable though so it'll be totally worth it. (If I keep telling myself this, maybe I'll actually believe it.)

I was just saying to Mark how I was surprised no Christmas cards have come yet! Can't wait to get yours! We're about done here too, we're getting the tree tonight! Bundle up for the parade!

Oh no! Poor tree!
Last year, when mine came crashing down...I looked for a base EVERYWHERE. It was driving me nuts. I finally went to Lowes or Home Depot and some friendly tree guy helped me find a base that would work for our artificial tree even though it was for a live tree. Good luck!

Did you get my email with the game links? Just checking.

Baby, it's cold outside. :)

Yikes about your tree!!! I think I'm done with my shopping too. It helps when you don't have much money to spend because then that limits you a WHOLE BUNCH!

Get some hand warmer things for all of you while you are out the in the cold to put your pockets.

LOVE YOU ALL!

I would like to send you a Christmas card (now that you're not a local friend, but a long-distance one). Would you post (maybe that's not safe?) or email me your address? Thanks!

Relief you only had one smushed ornament ~ sad & scary ~ gets your adrenaline going, I'm sure. Since I shop all year I never see an end in sight ~ LOL. Sending WARM thoughts your way for the parade. Please take pictures is you have any feeling in your hands :>) Nag, nag, nag . . . I know, but it keeps me happy!! Enjoy your weekend.

I threw my stand in the trash by accident when we moved 3 yrs ago. i finally found the stand to go with my tree online. it was cheap, but shipping was 50 bucks, so i went and bought a stand at walmart for a live tree, then chad bore a hole in a 4 x 4 chunk of wood. the chunk of wood goes in the stand, and the tree is fit snug into the bore hole of the wood. have to get it just right so it doesnt lean though. if you come up with a better idea...be sure to let me know. -dee

I bought a new stand for our artificial tree at Hobby Lobby in M'Boro a couple of years ago for $14.99.
