Fixed an easy and suprisingly yummy recipe the other day. BS chiken breast, 1cup catalina dressing, 1cup apricot jam or preserves, 1 pk dry onion soup mix. Brown chicken in 2 tbsp oil, place in casserole dish. Mix dressing, jam and soup, pour over chicken. Cook uncovered for 45 min. at 350. I served it with rice and brocolli. It's similar to sweet and sour chicken. Good luck.
We are having sloppy joes, homemade fries and corn on the cob..... But usually almost every week I am in the same rut.
I have a hard time with the dinner cooking thing....a friend suggested http://eatathomecooks.com/ I like the look of it and the idea of it. I have just procrastinated on starting it. We had grilled hot dogs and chips last night....healthy.
Our summer is just one big rut for meals. It is just too hot!! Sandwiches with all the fixins sounds good to me.
I think you should have salad, grilled chicken and homemade rolls, because that's what sounds good to me. :)
i'm gonna try jeni simmons recipe. as for me...same ole rut too. had hamburgers today (starting a new thing...dinner RIGHT after school --- so it gets done rather than picking up a pizza on the way home from practice or a game. sadly, we've had "whatever you can find" too much lately.
LOL Kim!! I was about to suggest ceasar chicken salad with parmesean toast. Yummm!
