Iowa & the drive across Nowhere, America

Our next stop was Iowa where the kids insisted we stop in at The Fountain for a Green River (the cheese balls I ordered were pretty yummy, too!),
then planted flowers for Great-Grandma Dirks,
and spent a few hours with second cousins four-wheeling & hanging out at the campfire.  A huge thanks to my Aunt & Uncle for putting us up.
The kids were SUPER good travelers.  As long as iPods/iPads were charged they were good to go.  We were surprised they didn't sleep much but I did manage to get a picture of each of them (because I just can't resist how sweet my children look while they're asleep!).

After Iowa we drove through Nebraska & Wyoming.  Mostly it was just a whole lot of nothing.  Whoever "those people" are that are worried about human overpopulation have clearly never driven through these states because all we saw were wide open spaces!
We came through Bear Lake and it was just beautiful!

We knew we were getting close....we finally arrived in Malta on Thursday afternoon.  We've been busy unpacking, getting settled, & finishing a room in the garage for the boys to sleep in.  We're just renting a house for now but we will need to decide whether to buy/build by the end of the summer.

Up next, our new digs and what the kids have been up to.

I think the same thing every time we drive across Wyoming, too.
