Last Saturday we went for one last hurrah before school starts this week. Back in June when my car broke down, we accidentally found this state park area that the kids have been begging to go back to. It was worth the wait! We all had such fun climbing on the rocks and playing in the water. Wish I had pictures to share but we didn't want to risk the camera getting wet.
While we were there we met another family. They moved here 2 years ago and live on the other side of Chattanooga but we instantly made friends. They had a girl Kierstyn's age and a boy Trevin's age. (Kyler always seems to get left out; I don't think he minds hanging out with the "grownups" though.) Anyways, we exchanged numbers and plan to get together with them and do some more "adventuring."
Then we came home and FINISHED THE BOYS BUILT IN SHELVES!!! This might just be my most exciting news of the whole summer. :) The boys spent yesterday afternoon filling up their shelves with all their treasures. Pictures to come later this week....I promise!
Saturday evening we enjoyed a quick jaunt up to Lookout Mountain for a family get-together on Kelly's mom's side. Several of Kelly's cousins were visiting from out of town and it was fun to see them and crazy how many little children there were underfoot. Good times!
